Today, a strange situation has occurred. While all the military officials in Pakistan are explaining how they carried out the successful Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad and what achievements were made, at the same time, imagine the whole world watching — and what do they see?
They see Pakistan’s sitting Prime Minister being arrested, humiliated, and dragged into custody. This is the man who has been the most popular leader in the history of Pakistan, and yet the way he was treated in front of the nation and the world was shameful.
The courts, the institutions, and those in power did not just stop there. They filed case after case against him, from corruption to terrorism charges, some of them completely baseless, only to weaken him politically and silence his voice.
In reality, these acts are not just political moves; they are clear violations of human rights and justice. A leader who raised his voice for the sovereignty of Pakistan, who stood for independence in decision-making, is being punished for his stance.
Today, every Pakistani sees this injustice. Every person who believes in democracy, fairness, and the rule of law is disturbed. The arrest, harassment, and politically motivated cases against Imran Khan are not just an attack on one individual, but on the principles of freedom, justice, and the will of the people.
It is time that international human rights organisations take notice of this. Such treatment is unacceptable in any democratic society. Justice delayed is justice denied, and the people of Pakistan deserve transparency, fairness, and respect for their chosen leader.
